The Emergency Housing Assistance Fund supports single-parent students in Yolo County, California who are not residents of The Huddle on 5th. Eligible students may apply for up to $1,000 to support housing-related expenses, such as eviction, foreclosure, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies. The goal of this fund is to provide temporary relief for single-parent students facing urgent housing challenges, helping them bridge short-term gaps while they seek longer-term solutions, including potential residency at The Huddle on 5th.
Who can apply?
Single parents currently attending a college or trade/tech program in Yolo County and Sacramento County may apply for this grant. Current residents at The Huddle on 5th are NOT eligible to apply. If you are a resident of The Huddle on 5th, please review details about our other emergency grant fund.

Up to $1,000 per eligible applicant.

Yes, but repeat recipients must wait 12 months, and denied applicants must wait 6 months before reapplying.

Funds will be disbursed directly to the applicant.

Proof of use is required. Failure to provide this may result in loss of eligibility for future RTB grants.

No, scholars must remain enrolled in an academic institution in California or Minnesota.

Yes. We can reimburse eligible housing expenses paid within the past 30 days, as well as support current and urgent needs.
